Before leaving the Big Island for Kauai, we stopped at Akaka Falls.
Kauai is beautiful. We alternated between days spent on the beach, lounging, snorkling, and boogie boarding, and days spent hiking. The first hike we went on was a short few mile jaunt into Waimea Canyon, followed by a drive out to the end of the road for views of the Kalalau Valley and the Na Pali Coast. Rainbows were everywhere, and the colors of the earth and sky were breathtaking. We also saw some of the wild chickens that are all over the island. Photos cannot do justice, not even to the rooster.
