Our second hike was an 8 mile round trip slog through muck and mud along the Kalalau Trail first to Hanakapiai Beach, then in to Hanakapiai Falls. A tiring trip, but well worth the effort.
We also enjoyed some pretty sunsets. In the first, you can make out Niihau, one of the Hawaiian islands, along the bottom of the photo. The second was from the balcony outside the bedroom of the bed and breakfast where we stayed.
I think we'll go back someday.
